Tim and Shaunna’s wedding at The Golden Hotel was such a breath of fresh air for me. These two didn’t stress about the little things, they focused on their love and just enjoyed the day to the fullest. From watching them interact, I just know that they are going to have a long life full of love and happiness. Congratulations you two!
They met in April 2012 at happy hour. Shaunna was with work friends and Tim was out with a buddy. They exchanged phone numbers that night and then went on their first date two weeks later! They have been together for three years and were engaged for fifteen months!
Shaunna said that she knew Tim was the one because they challenge each other (physically and mentally), they’re weird together and love doing pretty much everything together! She said that she basically gets to marry her best friend!
Tim and Shaunna planned a late Spring ski weekend in Crested Butte. Tim planned the entire weekend and even got them a slope side hotel room. Tim was so nervous that he pretty much proposed as soon as they got there. They were having drinks on their balcony and watching the skiers come down and that's when Tim got down on one knee and proposed!
All along, they said they wanted something simple with good food and drinks, a fun dance party and their closest friends and family!
Shaunna’s flowers were sunflowers with a mixture of other pink and purple flowers. The groomsmen wore grey suits and the bridesmaids wore navy knee length, one-shoulder dresses. Shaunna’s dress was strapless with a blush color underneath and vintage ivory lace on top.
Most of their friends and family that attended the wedding traveled from out of town, so they planned multiple events and get-togethers over the long holiday weekend so that they could spend as much time as possible with everyone.
Shaunna’s tip to future brides is that wedding planning shouldn't be stressful. In her opinion, if you're stressing out over all of the little details, you’re not focussing on the right things. Also, she says to get all of the planning and last minute details done early, so that you can spend time with your guests when they come to town.
Navy blue is was their main color, which was paired with colorful, seasonal flowers. They said that neither of them are super fancy, so they wanted everything to be simple, but elegant.
